Cellulite on Thighs- How to Get Rid of It.

Hi this is Samantha and about 2 years ago my cellulite on thighs became much more pronounced then it had ever been . It bothered me a lot and I became surprisingly self conscious about it, which led me to always cover up and wear very conservative clothing even  when exercising or going to the beach with my family.

I began to search desperately for cellulite solutions that would bring me peace of mind. I riffled through numerous cellulite treatments that didn’t give me the results I wanted but finally I found a method that worked.

When I first started to look for a method of cellulite reduction I concentrated on improving my diet as I had read that this was an effective approach. I began to eat healthier foods such as fruits and vegetables; I cut back on alcohol and fatty foods and even gave up my beloved morning coffee as caffeine is reported to worsen the appearance of cellulite when consumed.

The result of my efforts were a slight improvement in the appearance of my cellulite on thighs but certainly not the drastic change that I had envisioned.  The good news though was that my condition did not and has not gotten any worse and I believe this dietary change is the reason.

The next cure I tried was cellulite exercises that targeted the affected  area and increased circulation. I already did a lot of aerobic exercise so in addition to this I did more strength training. Lunges, squats, donkey kicks, and a host of other activities aimed at tightening up the lower extremities.

It made me feel a lot better and improved my shape, which is why I still keep them up till this day, but in getting rid of cellulite on thighs it had a minor impact. I tried massagers and body brushes too but they didn’t help.

Finally I began to look for the best anti cellulite cream to use. I tried a lot of them out and some were really expensive but I felt that if I found something that actually worked it would be worth it. After a lot of trail and error I found an anti cellulite treatment that was very affordable and most importantly, effective.

So my method of cellulite reduction is a three pronged approach which consists of healthy eating and moderate exercise to prevent the condition worsening, and a high quality cellulite cream. For the best results I think you have to do all three, that’s my experience.

When looking for a cream try to get something with natural ingredients and  caffeine in it. It sounds contradictory but when you ingest caffeine by drinking coffee or cola soda it can make cellulite worse, but when you apply it  topically it can be very beneficial.

Get Rid of Cellulite

November 15th, 2011

If you are a woman and you have cellulite on your body, you may want to know how to get rid of cellulite. Cellulite takes over many women and turns them into a different person as it lowers their self-confidence. Women who once dressed to impress start “dressing to hide.” They want to hide the parts that cellulite has taken over because they believe it is not attractive. With aging comes this condition. Once upon a time, it was believed that cellulite only showed up in people who were overweight, but today, with plenty of research, this myth has been exposed. Many individuals, even those who are underweight may end up with this condition.

If you are wanting to get rid of cellulite the right way, you first need to figure out what is causing this condition in the first place. Some things that could be causing this condition include pregnancy, smoking, dehydration, poor nutrition and poor metabolism. If you cannot figure out what is causing this condition, you may need to speak with an expert. After you figure out what has been causing it, you can learn how to get rid of cellulite based on what is causing it.

If you have the problem simply because of dehydration, all you have to do is step up the water a notch. You need to avoid certain foods like whip cream, pork, sausage and sweets. You also need to stay away from those sugary drinks.

Mind you, you are not going to get rid of cellulite overnight, but with a little extra work, your body will get back to normal before you know it. With a little bit of patience, you will be pleased with the results you receive.

Start eating foods that will benefit your skin. Put down the fast food, fudge rolls and Twinkies. Start eating healthy. Consume plenty of dairy, fruits and vegetable. There are certain foods that will fight the cellulite accumulation and improve your skin. Some good foods to eat include bright berries, vegetables, lean meats, poultry, low fat cheeses, nuts, beans, fish and peas.

If you are a couch potato, it is time to step into the gym. Working out may not be a favourite of yours, but it is something you need to do. You do not have to do hardcore activities at the gym, light exercise is just fine. Jogging, bike riding, swimming and power walking is a great idea. You could even play a fast paced game on the Nintendo Wii. Some good thigh targeting exercises include 1-leg presses, squats, leg press, lunges and the flamingo balance. You should exercise every other day for 20 to fifty minutes.

Many women turn to getting massages on their skin as this helps get rid of cellulite. This is the easiest step in the book. This technique will help get rid of cellulite on the thighs, buttocks and back. All you need is an effective cellulite massager and an anti-cellulite cream. There are may products on the market that claim to get rid of this problem – do your research and find the best one.

How to Remove Cellulite from Thighs

June 8th, 2011

There are several different approaches to reducing cellulite on thighs that all claim to be effective and long term solutions. I’ll write briefly about the main ones which are cellulite creams, cellulite exercises, and cellulite diet.

Each of these cellulite treatments has the potential to help the condition but their purported results are often exaggerated which can lead to disappointment. Don’t worry, I’m going to explain them all.

Firstly, we should discuss what cellulite actually is and what causes it. It is  a change in the appearance of the skin that results in a dimpled look that is often described as orange peel and cottage cheese skin and it is caused by the herniation of subcutaneous fat (translation, the fatty layer under your skin protrudes  abnormally).

It is a very common occurrence in women but rarely occurs in men, unless they have a condition where their testosterone decreases in proportion to estrogens. This indicates that there is a strong  hormonal component to cellulite development which will determine how bad the condition will become.

So, how do the so called cures work? Well, the first method often  recommended is a cellulite diet that will reduce the condition by neutralising free radicals, increasing circulation, and balancing hormones.

Foods recommended are fruits, vegetables, whole grains, quality protein sources, and a lot of water. In  addition to these, you must avoid  sugar, alcohol, and coffee which is particularly detrimental in cellulite reduction.

Cellulite exercises are composed of  cardiovascular exercise to promote better circulation, and specific strength exercises to tone up the affected areas. And there are numerous cellulite creams on the market that promise quick results. They vary from valuable additions to ineffective snake oils.

Which one of these treatments is the best? The way I got quick and lasting results was to use all three approaches in conjunction. It might sound like a lot of work but it really just comes down making healthier lifestyle choices and then finding a high quality cellulite cream.

In my next post I will explain exactly what I did, and what I used to cure my cellulite on thighs.

How to get rid of cellulite on thighs naturally

June 7th, 2011

When I first began researching  how to get rid of cellulite on thighs I was overwhelmed by the amount of differing opinions and cures that I found. I quickly decided that I would focus on methods that I considered natural as I thought they would be the safest and most effective.

These included diet, exercise, massage, and topical applications with natural substances.

This post will concentrate on using a cellulite diet as a natural approach to reducing cellulite on thighs. The reason why I think that it is prudent to begin treatment with diet is because it will often lead on to other healthy habits such as taking exercise and also in my experience it can stop your condition from getting worse.

It’s no secret that improving your diet will also improve the appearance of your skin.

A cellulite diet will consist of eating more health promoting foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and quality protein sources. The causes of cellulite are many but some major contributors are hormonal imbalances, stress, and circulatory insufficiency to the affected area.

So if we clean up our diet a little we can really fight these causes and weaken their effects.

The reason I hesitate to give really specific foods to eat is because extreme dieting can actually worsen cellulite. The guidelines above should suffice as you should be able to find foods you like in those categories, so eat more of them and don’t get to fanatical about it.

In addition to eating good food there are also some things that you definitely want to avoid. Alcohol and coffee are two these. They are severely damaging in cellulite reduction because they constrict blood vessels and reduce circulation. They can also play havoc with your hormones and increase your stress levels.

Lastly, smoking also does the same thing and needs to be cut out or at least cut down. It is not a part of diet but its detrimental effects warrant me mentioning it.

Now what kind of results should you expect from this? Well, they differ from person to person. I’ve heard of great results and also modest results. For me personally I experienced a moderate change in my cellulite on thighs. My skin tone did improved slightly but the thing I noticed most was that my condition stabilised as before hand it continued to get worse.

I have said before that if you want a drastic improvement in your condition then you should implement a multi pronged approach such as diet, exercises, and using an anti cellulite cream. This also means your diet doesn’t have to be to restrictive.

Cellulite on Thighs

April 26th, 2011

It’s estimated that up to 90 percent of women have cellulite on thighs, abdomen, butt, and pelvis, and I was one of them. It seem to get worse these last couple of years and it bothered me a lot. I didn’t feel comfortable wearing swimsuits, shorts, and miniskirts anymore and I wasn’t as outgoing as I use to be.

I’m not  a really vain person so i was surprised by how much it affected my self image. Once I realised that this was a problem for me I decided to do some thing about it and began researching the best cellulite treatments.

Needless to say I had to dig through a lot of information like cellulite creams, cellulite diets and exercises, what lifestyle habits to adopt and what to avoid, and many other so called cures.

I became a little disheartened  at first because the cures seemed to contradict each other and worst of all they didn’t give me the results I wanted. The good news is that  after trying out every method available I finally found something that actually worked and it continues to keep my legs smooth.

This blog is going to tell you how I did it.
